Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan
In pursuance of the focus on connecting school based knowledge to life outside the school and making learning of Science Mathematics a joyful and meaningful activity, to bring focus on innovation and use of technology, the Ministry of Human Resource Development has set up the Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan(RAA) - a convergent framework that aims at nurturing a spirit of inquiry and creativity, love for Science and Mathematics and effective use of technology amongst children and encourage those who show an inclination and talent for these subjects to be encouraged and supported to heights of academic excellence and research.
Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan will target students in the age group of 6 - 18 years and in turn the execution of RAA will span across MHRD’s schematic interventions of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan in the Department of School Education & Literacy and programmes and schemes of Department of Higher Education to encourage Science, Mathematics & Technology.

Science and mathematics of std. 6th, 7th and 8th is made more engaging and joyful with our kids, TLM and audio visual content. There are about 200+ interesting ativities / experiments, ach developed to support teachers in classroom transaction.

Science and mathematics teachers are bi-annually trained in 3 days residential training camps at Anvenshika Lab in Kanpur by Prof. HC Verma and the team. The concepts are honed in these camps and offered a new perspective on concepts.

Teachers are given hands-on-experience of activities in our monthly training workshop, for the next month’s curriculum. The workshop provides a platform for teachers to review various strategies of teaching and learning with other fellow teachers.

All schools are equipped with portable projector, audio system and smart board and teachers are given basic training to operate it. Every month e-Content and other material is delivered, in accordance with curriculum, for interactive and engaging classroom sessions.

Irregular power cuts are very frequent in rural regions, so schools are provided with 150W detachable solar panels, battery and inverter. The school supporting staff places the panel in sunlight during day time and keeps it back inside after school, to avoid theft / breakage.

Efficient monitoring of schools is necessary for effective project implementation. Local project coordinator visit each school every week, state project coordinator pays monthly visit to all schools and project sponsor reach out schools bi-annually to track project implementation.
